Don’t let the dragon slay you!

Today I read Steven Pressfield's book “Do the Work”.

To any creative out there: You should read this book!

To any entrepreneur out there: You should read this book!

To any human who walks into the unknown: You should read this book!

It will talk right into your soul and will not let you make any excuses.

It will prepare you for your own demons that come and close your paths which go to unknown territories that hide majestic sights.

These daemons are fear, doubt, frustration, self-judgment… which Pressfield summarises as resistance.

Whenever you have a forward movement, expect a movement against you, this is resistance.

It will be there, it will ALWAYS be there.

If you expect it to go away, you should never do anything.

Instead knowing it is there when you do something that creates waves, you can see it as a sign of your creativity, your work, your effort.

Press field gives this example:

"Henry Fonda was still throwing up before each stage performance, even when he was seventy-five. In other words, fear doesn’t go away. The warrior and the artist live by the same code of necessity, which dictates that the battle must be fought anew every day.”

Fight your battle, learn to recognize the resistance, do the work, read the book!

I create words, emotions, connections, energy and spaces.
